Summary
One of the founders of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, painter Willard Cummings presents a brief lecture on the history and technique of fresco, touching on the Henry Poor's role in bringing fresco to the school and making it an integral part of the curriculum, as well as Ann Poor's work on an outdoor fresco in 1950. This is followed by a slide presentation by Ann Poor of examples of fresco through art history. The last part of the lecture is a joint effort, offering a brief history of the school and mentioning resources available to the participants, encouraging them to take advantage of their attendance to expand their art.
